Concorde Ego Z

Concorde Ego Z

This impressive 17hh grey stallion is an excellent example of the modern sporthorse, with unlimited power, scope, carefulness and an excellent temperament combined.

Concorde Ego Z, like Absolute Ego Z, was bred in NSW by Linda Mayer and purchased as a foal by Oaks Sportshorses. This unique individual is an outstanding combination of some of the best showjumping bloodlines available. Ability and scope “out of this world” in addition to the coolest of minds, he offers Australian breeders the most sought after qualities for breeding performance horses, that are suited to both amateurs and professionals alike.

Concorde’s sire, CALVARO Z (Caletto I/Capitol I) had a spectacular career with both Jos Lansink & John Whitaker; his successes include National Dutch Champion, Team Silver at the European Championships, winner of the 1999 & 2000 GB Grand Prix as well as representing Great Britain at the 2000 Olympics. Calvaro has a worldwide reputation for being a sire of exceptional jumpers with great movement and temperaments.

Ridden by three of the World’s Greatest show jumpers (Jos Lansink, John and Micheal Whitaker) across his show jumping career, Calvaro Z is very much worthy of adding to the list of World Class Stallions. In recent years, his progeny have become exceedingly sought-after based on the star qualities of his older sons and daughters such as Night Train (Calvaro x Papillon Rouge), Katchina Mail, and Ralvesther (Calvaro x Zevenster), who are consistently demonstrating their brave attitude and ability to perform at the highest of levels.

In 2005 alone, two of his progeny were sold through the PSI Auction, with Cawendo, who qualified for the World Championships for Young Horses, selling for €170,000. Also in 2005, the stallion Chester Z was Bronze Medal winner at the World Championships for Young Horses.

Calvaro’s sire, Caletto I, jumped at international level and was the individual Bronze medal winner at the 1982 Dublin World Championships.

Concorde’s mother, Clotho Ego Z, is by another legend: CARTHAGO Z. CARTHAGO Z, just like CALVARO Z, attended the 2000 Olympic Games with Belgium’s Jos Jansink. During his career he won many Grand Prix’s as well as competing in 15 Nations Cups. At the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, Carthago Z finished 11th place individually.

CARTHAGO Z was a proven breeder of show jumpers, as evidenced by the numerous horses that have jumped or are jumping at the highest levels. He is also the sire of several approved stallions and has over 900 registered offspring. He sired top competitors Davos (ridden by HRH Prince Abdullah Al Saud), Mylord Carthago (ridden by Penelope Leprevost), Cha Cha Z (ridden by Judy- Ann Melchoir) and Old Chap Time (ridden by Eurene Angot).

Like his father, Concorde is a tall and imposing stallion who with an abundance of ‘wow’ factor. He recently competed in his first World Cup Qualifier in Perth, where he placed an impressive 2nd!
